Jess Greenwood's Place

Hey everyone, I'm Jess and I've created this page to share with you guys various pieces of knowledge that I've collected over the years. I hope you find it informational and helpful!

Heartburn is a very painful condition, it’s when the oesophagus starts to burn due to you stomach acid flowing backwards. After constant back flow of acid from the stomach, the oesophagus starts to become irritated. I have never had heartburn myself but I have so many friends that do have it that I know how to get rid of heartburn. If any of my friends do have heartburn then I am always there to help them.

I’ve experienced some bad heartburn accidents. Once I was in the lunch hall at school when somebody got heartburn. He dropped his plate and the whole room went silent and this guy was just crouched over in the middle of the room. It looked so painful and horrible. Another bad experience was when I played tennis against one of the best tennis players in the country. He got heartburn on match point and so I managed to stay in the game a little longer. I was praying that his heartburn would continue slightly longer so I could win the game but it was only a quick one. It was a great match. I would do it again if I had the chance, but I don’t. Next time I play a game and somebody has heartburn I think I will take advantage a lot more.

Eating fast food can give you heartburn

So there are so many ways to get rid of your heartburn like drinking milk, eating honey, eating mustard, taking vinegar, and by just eating healthily. I think anybody who has heartburn should know how to get rid of heartburn because the condition just gets worse if you leave it. It obviously started because your diet or lifestyle was not what it should have been so you will have to make changes if you want it to go away.

Something that can stop the heartburn is by remaining upright at all times. Don’t lie down on a sofa when you watch t.v and if you can you should elevate your head by a few inches at least, this will help a lot. You can probably just use an extra pillow and that should help you. It is quite funny to see that taking vinegar helps because it is an acid and acids are the cause for heartburn. I think just in small amounts it makes your body create saliva, which will help to neutralise it. So one other really good way to stop you heartburn from coming and going is by chewing on gum regularly. This also makes your body make saliva, which will lower your acidic level abit. All these small things make a difference if you do them all at the same time.

If I had heartburn then I would probably do all of them just to make sure it never comes back. Also it would good if there was like some kind of manual on the Internet for how to get rid of heartburn. I want to be a doctor for heartburn.
